CHECK-IN TIME

A registered check-in time is required for all guests. Please go here to register. Tickets are purchased when you arrive at your registered time. Check email or Instagram ( IG Feed is Below) before your visit for any closure or other important updates. Walk-ins are welcome; however, we cannot guarantee that we can fit you in.

Friday 10 am - 7 pm

Saturday 10 am - 7 pm

Sunday 10 am - 6 pm

Holiday Weekends will have extended hours. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day

About Us

Family owned and operated, WRAC is the first alpine coaster in North Carolina! The track’s length of 3,160 feet includes three circular loops (you do not go upside down), a series of waves and several twists and turns for plenty of excitement. Fun for all ages, this thrill ride reaches up to 27 mph at the control of the rider.

The hillside is sparkling under a fresh coat of snow! Bundle up, grab your check-in, and experience the magic of the coaster in winter.

We get a lot of questions about whether we operate in the rain or snow — and the answer is yes to both! Our sleds are equipped with shields that keep you dry and help block the wind on those chilly days, so your ride is just as fun (and comfortable) no matter the weather.

These shields are added anytime there’s rain or heavy snowfall, ensuring you can still enjoy the full coaster experience. We’re open year-round, and trust us — every season offers its own kind of magic on the mountain.

The snow has finally arrived here in the High Country! ❄️ Today marks our first snowfall, and it’s absolutely beautiful. We can’t wait for you to experience this winter wonderland with us. Bundle up and come take a magical ride down the coaster!

❄️ Winter Hours Are Here! 🍂

The days are getting shorter, and that means we’re moving into our winter schedule here in the High Country!

🕓 New Hours:
• Fridays & Saturdays: Open until 7 p.m.
• Sunday–Thursday: Open until 6 p.m.

We’ll also have extended hours on holiday weekends and from December 20th through January 4th, so you can pack in all your winter adventures! 🎢🎄

Please note: We’ll be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, so be sure to double-check our check-in schedule and social pages for any updates or special events.
